Last day of Soccer

The boys had their last day of soccer today, a gala day at Tottenham. It was an anjoyable day, and our depleted little team played well, with only one reserve. All of the kids seemed to have a great time, and showed real improvement.

Hamish happily received the Player of the week trophy, he really keeps up with the play now, and enjoyed a go in goals saving a couple. he still is a little afraid to throw himself into the fray, but is much more focused than before. We are very proud of his continued efforst, regardless of the fact that he is a little frightened of the kids, most of whom are bigger than he is. Hamish can't wait to take his trophy preschool for news. Well done Hamish!!!!!

Lacho had a great day also, having a turn in goals and really putting in some good plays. not once did he take the ball the wrong way! Both boys were very happy to be awarded medals for their participation in soccer this year, and still keep asking if they really can keep them!

I must say that we even had a nice day with Prue, who normally chooses soccer as a time to turn on the ratty behaviour as she is not the focus of our attentions. today however she was well behaved and enjoyed pottering and doing her own thing, never straying too far though. Thankyou baby girl.

Ahhh! You've updated! Great photos of the kids. Soccer was fun and I noted how well your boys played. Lachlan is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future, and Hamish will be his tactical back-up I think!
Good luck with the tonsil operation. Give Hamish about six months after it and you won't recognise him! It just makes the world of difference. Great to have it out of the way before school starts too. My tip - get Trevor to go down to theatre with him before the operation. It's too traumatic for us mothers!

I fully agree! I have had 2 kids in 4 months have theirs done and had to go into theatre each time and it is bloody horrible! Make Trevor do it - or you will be a blubbering mess...... ! :) :) :)

Glad the gala day was a sucess.

Hi Nic
I still find it hard to get my head around the fact that the boys are 5, it doesnt seem like that long ago they were these tiny little bubba's in the SCN. I can still clearly recall finishing work and heading down to the Amaroo to have some celebration rum's with Trevor ( we would have asked you but you you had just had a caesarean!). Good work Lacho and Hamish, you look so proud with your trophies!
