Things that they say.....

"The Pope is the boss of all the Murphy's isn't he?"

Lachlan, as he watched the Papal visit with much interest. For those of you not from Nyngan, the local priest is Father Murphy.

"Did you know that the government changed the password and he won't say what the new one is".

Hamish, filling us in on what he learns from ABC news. (One might wonder if this is actually a very good description of the RUDD government in action).

"I'm a good helper aren't I Mummy?"

Prue, just about every second of every flipping day..... arghhh!!!!

Friends of mum and dad's had an uncle who was a priest in Cobar years ago, he died suddenly from a heart attack and Fr Murphy had to break the news to them. When he left , their daughter who was about 3 at time said " Murphy Brown made you cry mum"
It's funny how kids see things

Well we do live in a free-to-air TV black spot. We can go for months at a time with only Austar, which luckily has SBS and ABC. Skynews just doesn't cut it and the only other things on at 7pm on Austar whilst the kids get dressed after a bath are crap, so ABC news it is!

Murphy Brown, that's sweet Leah. I actually used to like that show. Watch it now and good ole Candice is groan-inducing

Skynews does suck!

The comments are very cute. Tonight out of nowhere Jackson asked if God was a boy or girl, then he went on to ask if he dresses up. 'What the'?? He then explain does he dress up like spiderman like me? Also today I had my hair coloured with blonde foils after being dark for a while and I walked in and he was pointing laughing saying 'Your hair Mum! Your Hair'! I asked him what was wrong and he said 'Its yellow!! Why did you do that?'. Ned just said 'No!' when I asked him if he liked it. The things they say..........

mmm, one day! Life has just been too hectic. There hasd been lots to blog about,a nd a few great photos, just no time. Apart from work and school committments, we are getting new carpet throughout our house on Mon/Tue. Yippeee!!!!!
Our carpet is the original, 35-40 year old carpet. It has had managers, Jackaroos, and three little donnelly children live on it. there is a patch in the lounge room burnt through theunderlay by a heater,. We cover it with a mat. A common through fare from the kitchen in is down to the hessian and we are tripping on the threads, there are threadbare strips up the hallway, and there is no pile left ANYWHERE, I kid you not. Needless to say this is a monumental moment in my farmer wife life. This carpet ahs been the bane of my existence for 8 years. And come Monday, it will be gone! Before then I have to clean out AND clear out the whole house. Our entire house of furniture and what not onto the verandah! HELP! Trevor is also madly finishing some painting, plastering, gyprocking and skirting boarding to our renovations as well as painting the boys room "Breezy Blue" before our lovely new carpet comes. So.... the update will have to wait until after next Mon/Tue!

Know the feeling - been there done that- with the carpenter having to go away for a week, hence our house was outside the whole time & us walking on bare floor.

oh well looks like we could go out Mon & Tues & help ourselves to whatever we want - a free garage sale- while you are at work.

That was a mini-post in itself, Nicole. I know what you mean about not having enough time. I think my Nan might have been right a while ago. I did have too much time on my hands!! Look forward to some lovely photo's of the new carpet & reno's.

Oh, Kyla, I know. I did think that I should just write that comment as a post. But this way I look REALLY popular with LOTS of comments! Wish me luck and stop me procrastinating. Stuff to do, husbnad to get away from footy and back to painting! ANd yes I did used to have too much time on my hands, not that I ever used it wisely. Nor do I yet!!!
