Hamish and Lachlan on their first day of school!

Well the boys' first day of school started with 80 mls of rain in 2 hours! So we had to get Trevor to help us get to the highway, and forgo any photos at the school gate, but here they are anyway, my lovely little boys. They were so excited, and not nervous at all I don't think. The last photo is at the end of the day as they hopped off the bus, and they look pretty happy I think.

They have gone to bed very tired tonight and were asleep instantly, after an evening on the phone regaling most of the Wittig clan (my family) about all of the adventures of their first day. Lachlan found it very amazing that all of the big kids knew their names, until I pointed out that he had a name tag on his shirt!
Hamish seemed disappointed that not all of his friends were there, so I guess the last few months of explaining that some of their friends would go to a different school didn't really work!

Blogger is not into collages yet again tonight, so I have had to skip some of the photos, which is probably for the best!

Congratulations Boys! I saw you both pottering around Mim's office on your "tour" of the school I guess! Looking very very spiffy in their uniforms! :)

Raining here now as we speak - after about 3 hours of thunder and ligthening tonight! :)

Congratulations on reaching such a big family milestone. It was a pity about the rain, but they settled in OK regardless!

Well done on coping with the transition. It must be hard adjusting to having two of your children leaving and going off to school at once, however I imagine you are used to the double intensity of everything with them. I wish I could remember which school uniform was for which primary school, so I could work out where you chose to send them. I am sure whichever you chose is what suits them.
I'm going to look at your other posts now, if it doesn't rain it pours with you posting!
Take care. Nicky E
I am going to send you a message on facebook later.
