Busy days

Well the holidays were such a whirl. A couple of birthday parties, hearing appointments, Hi 5, the show (the boys tap-danced at the show),Anzac day march for the boys and the races. Then it was back to school on a very cold first day, and I am just loving the look of the boys in their winter uniforms. So, as usual, a collage is called for! The jumping castle was a big hit for all three at the show, Prue cried when Trevor took a bite of her lollypop as she hadn't intended to ruin the perfect circle-ness of it all, so we had to glue it back on with its own sticky sugary self. The boys started soccer again today which is great, both are very enthusiastic. Trevor's Dad, the kids' much loved Grandpa has been here for 2 weeks and goes home tomorrow. Since December he has been permanently retired in Gulgong. Previously he lived up here in another house. His absence has been strongly felt by the kids who have had him nearby, and actively involved with them, for most of their lives (all of Prue's), and they have loved having him back. Lacho, upon hearing that Grandpa would go home tomorrow, said that he wished he could stay forever. They wake him every morning at 6am, he will look forward to going home for a sleep-in!
As for me I start work on Monday, just 2 days a week for a 3 month stint, but it will be the first time in 6 years!!! I am a little nervous, plus madam has to go to a baby sitter. Maybe that is what is causing me the most anxiety! Wish me luck!

I happened to run into Miss Prue today. She and Jenny and Shelley were having a lovely time in the bakery, reading magazines and catalogues over morning tea. Madam seemed quite proud of the fact that her mum was at work and she was being such a good girl!! I told her that i would tell you how grown up she was!! I might add that she pointed out the correct colour matching of outfits in the ezibuy mag!!

Good to see another womans life is just as busy yet fulfilling as mine!
I bet Prue settled into being minded with very little trouble.
Are you enjoying being back at work? I find part time work is the key to balancing life at the time we both are in our lives.
As I have written many times before, I know of a public sector workplace that would be ecstatic to have you and you could set the terms of work.
Take care. Nicky Eggleton
