farm kids!

Yesterday was such a lovely day. The weather has been so bad lately that the kids have only ventured out rugged up for short excursions to their bike or the sandpit. But yesterday they spent the whole day outside , particularly around the shed in the afternoon, enjoying their father's presence. He has been so busy lately and they have really missed being able to spend time with him while he works. The boys love clambering all over the boom spray (a converted cotton module builder) because it is so high and has fort-like ramps and rails all around it. Prue gets up there too, but yesterday I enjoyed taking a few shots of the boys enjoying each other's company for a change, even dressed like twins for once!

One of the working dogs has had pups and there are six of them. They are 4 weeks old and yesterday they finally ventured out from the hiding place that their very good mother chose to have them in. Under the scrap metal pile! Six puppies between three kids means every one gets a turn, exactly the way everything should come! It is days like yesterday that I really value the farm upbringing that my kids are getting, even if I was whinging about it on the weekend!
